Trump has given the Senate until July 4 to get it passed, or he will reveal the corruption of those who oppose the bill and the real reasons why they wouldn't vote for the bill.

"Ken and Barbie vs. Goliath IRS": Ken Cromar presently sits in prison having been found guilty of living in his own fully owned home and after proving in a Federal Tax Court that he owed no monies to the IRS. Despite the ruling in Cromar's favor, the IRS sold his home at auction and threw away all his possessions including expensive camera equipment he used to make a living. In an unprecedented and lightning-fast response to widespread concern over whether the BOP's new leadership would be fully implementing the President's First Step Act priority in a timely fashion, the newest directive issued by the Administration's BOP Director on June 17, 2025, officially removed all doubt.

Stable housing and community reintegration readiness, not past employment, will guide placement decisions. RRC bed capacity limitations will not be a barrier to Home Confinement when an individual is statutorily eligible and appropriate for such placement." So those "dates" that were routinely ignored will now become "fully operational."

After four years of negativity, neglect, negligence, and non-feasance in the last administration's FSA implementation, common sense, at least in one aspect of BOP operations, has finally prevailed. The only challenge will be to ensure that the case manager and counselors hold up their end of the bargain. Given the negative online chatter on various correctional officer Facebook forums, (which I believe is a violation of their guidelines), this might continue to be a challenge.

To put this all in perspective, FSA passed in 2018(!), was theoretically supposed to be operational two years later. First there was the botched rollout of PATTERN, the risk assessment tool, which had to be revised after criticism from Congress. Then came other roadblocks, including no FSA credits possible until you are shipped to your final designated institution, no matter how long you were in holding after sentencing. The courts began to clamp down on the BOP, turning aside the detainer, "full" halfway house, and other sentence-extending schemes, the BOP illegally gutted SC, which since 2007 had effectively put prisoners close to the release in halfway house without drama.

While the President and his new leadership team has been busy with making the BOP bureaucracy do its job, he has also quietly been remaking the criminal justice system... [However,] this President seems to be homing in on individuals who were singled out for prosecution not to curb crime, but to effectively bring large numbers of professional and industries under de-facto federal control.

War on Drugs: We are all aware of the botched war on drugs, which destroyed minority neighborhoods and did little to curb drug use. This fiasco was followed by the financial meltdown of the mid-2000's in which not one of the many banks or bank executives involved in the reckless scheme served a day in jail. All of this despite gaming the financial system for trillions of dollars. Instead, to assuage public outrage at the avalanche of foreclosure and financial pain, hundreds of smaller developers and other minor players in the industry went to jail instead, for what in most cases could easily have been construed as civil disputes from failed projects ad poor financial planning, rather than criminal fraud.

Then, when the opioid crisis accelerated in the past ten years, did federal prosecutors send any drug manufacturers or their executives to jail? No, but they pursued with the full might of the federal government plenty of other medical professionals. Once again, the federal government meddled in something it didn't understand and couldn't control. It was more interested in highly-publicized and politicized prosecutions of selected "drug dealers" who were in fact merely medical professional and administrators doing what they were trained to do. Once again, the federal government tried to criminally litigate its way out of a complex problem-in this case, the drug addiction crisis-without success.

If the federal government was serious about curbing the nation's drug habits, it could start by actually offering extensive, well-run, drug programs in all federal institutions, and curb the smuggling of drugs into prisons by bad actors, sometimes wearing uniforms.

All of this doesn't sit too well with the prosecution-industrial complex, made up of lawyers and prosecutors who built their careers on high-profile prosecutions, first of low-level drug dealers who suddenly magically morphed into "kingpins," and then shifted to more numerous and more juicy white-collar targets, and expanding the numbers of investigators, prosecutors, and support personnel to numbers that are more than three-fold larger than the 1970's...

Institutional Crisis: In the meantime, the BOP at the institutional level is in full crisis and melt-down mode. Prisoners are hungry, commissary store shelves are often bare, prisoners are not sent out for necessary medical appointments, and many are deprived of the necessary medical and health care that would permit them to leave prison and live productive lives-if they even survive to their release date.

On Monday 6/23/25, I had a "call-out" to see the nurse for a blood pressure check. After the reading, I told the nurse about the new prescription and was scolded for not coming to sick call to take care of it. (Now, why would I want to go to sick call, when I already had a "call-out" for a blood pressure check? Could this be about money? There is a co-pay fee for every sick call visit. Is FCI Englewood really that hard up for money?) So, I asked the nurse what about my prescription? I was told to come back to sick call on Thursday, since they have already cancelled sick call for Tuesday and Wednesday. I have enough of my prescription to get me through Saturday, but there is no guarantee that they will not cancel sick call on Thursday or Friday. [Can you say medical roulette? Round and round, and round we go, when will we receive care? Nobody knows!]

From Petersburg, comes this account of just one of many individuals so neglected by the BOP that he probably passed away prematurely: "I would like to make you aware of a preventable death here at Petersburg Low, a kid in his early 30's (who) died earlier this week. We don't know why (for sure), but he was clearly ill. The staff and medical messed up; he was on 2-hour watch, so CO eyes were on him all the time. I know he went to medical at one point and should've been hospitalized at that time; he was just sent back to the unit to die." Similar examples of this type of neglect emanate from virtually every institution, over the past ten years.

And it's not just medical where the BOP is in crisis: many prisons are actually falling apart. Also from Petersburg: "There is no kitchen; food is prepared in temporary trailers well past their use (pull) date. Roach infestations (are) everywhere, particularly in food areas. We are still eating out of (plastic) clam shells, (and) maggots have been found in food. Doors are wide open, allowing bugs into the food prep areas, (and the) roof leaks in the food prep area. (There is) literally a waterfall when it rains in veggie prep."

Apparently the TRB so-called "Trump Gold Products" Scam is still alive and well on the Internet. Initially I received well over 400 email complaints on the matter before I had to cut them off. Recently I checked into it again. Now they are promising that you can still cash in your TRB products by setting up a Quantum Account with them (where they will claim you have over 40 million $ in your account). Only after you have given them your personal information, plus paid them thousands of dollars more – they will then promise to release the monies to you – which they never do. At least, no one has proven to me that they have ever received monies from investing in TRB products.
