I thought I woke up in a different city this morning. We had thunderstorms in the valley last night, with lots of dust and lightning but we didn’t get any rain where we are. When we walked this morning, though, it was only 81 degrees, a little breezy, and not as much humidity as I expected. What a difference, and it made for a fantastic start to the day. It was more in keeping with what we expect this time of year and I hope we won’t be baking any more this summer. Our electricity bill was nearly $700 in July and the city just increased the rates.
