Three days later on Fri. 25 Sept. was National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. Far too many die from blunt force traumas, starvation and abusive head traumas.     Marcus Fiesel was 3 years old when he was bound and wrapped in a sheet, left in a closet for an entire weekend where he died. The husband and his live-in partner transported his body from their home in Clermont County, Ohio to another location where they cremated his remains.

In 2024, a police investigation in Fayetteville, North Carolina ended when the remains of two children, Trenton Shuler and Moriah Foster aka Blake and London Deven, were found in a burn barrel. It was later revealed their foster provider gained full custody and abused them to death, had their bodies dismembered before burning their remains.

These children were placed with people hired to protect and keep them safe and people who promised them a "loving forever home." It's not about how many there are, no child should ever be killed in foster care or adoption. It's likely these numbers are under reported and many more children have been disposed of than we realize.

Children have been victims of murder/suicides like in the Sueppel family case. Steven Sueppel was an investment banker caught for embezzling over a half million dollars in Iowa City, Iowa. He first attempted to suffocate the children he and his wife bought from South Korea, with carbon monoxide poisoning trapping them in the family car. He resorted to bludgeoning them to death with baseball bats before he killed himself by driving the car into a highway concrete abatement.

We also learned earlier this morning that 300 homes and 4 business have burned down.  We're told that the prison does NOT intend to move us, but rather to shelter in place.  This doesn't sound ideal to me as the smoke is really bothering this old man's asthmatic lungs, I've been struggling with coughing fits.  Would you pray for the safety of the over 2,000 inmates at the four prisons?

The fires have also caused the warden to cancel all visits until further notice.  Unfortunately, my sweet 90 year-old mother and my brother had planned for weeks, purchased tickets, and arranged for a car rental to visit this weekend, but of course, better safe than sorry.  Hopefully, they'll be able to come for a visit soon.
