"Ken and Barbie vs. Goliath IRS": Ken Cromar presently sits in prison having been found guilty of living in his own fully owned home and after proving in a Federal Tax Court that he owed no monies to the IRS. Despite the ruling in Cromar's favor, the IRS sold his home at auction and threw away all his possessions including expensive camera equipment he used to make a living. He was arrested almost a year ago and has been sitting in prison since.

It has been an intense week.  So much is happening on many different battlefronts as we chased our ultimate goal of reaching the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington D.C.

It all began on Thursday when Raland mailed in for me a Petition for Extraordinary Writ of Habeas Corpus, prepared by genius Tom Freed.  It was the SIXTH attempt.  Would they accept it this time?  When I wrote about "a Miracle appears to be in the works" back in December, it was because that was when I filed the FIRST attempt.  But, they kept sending it back with what appeared to be lame excuses about form, which didn't make sense because we were following their own rules.  Seemed calculated to stop the kind of filing to SCOTUS we wanted.  Hmm. But, I consider it a small bump in the road.

Bad NEWS: Monday May 19th, I got bad news that the Tenth Circuit Court (Denver) decided to DENY my Habeas Corpus appeal.  *sigh*  The District Court had denied my Writ of Habeas Corpus petition around November 17th, which by federal statute required an answer within 3 days, or "no longer than twenty days" but only if they request it.  The court simply ignored it.  So, at my December 23, 2024 sentencing hearing I asked Judge Neilson to do me the courtesy of at least putting a ruling on the record so we could appeal.  He finally did that on about January 9th. We immediately filed our appeal in docket #25-4007.  The court politely said it was "premature", but favorably left the door open for future appeal.  It was bad NEWS.  Then...

Bad NEWS: Tuesday May 20th, Utah State Fourth District Court Judge Christine Johnson (Provo, Utah) DENIED my request for "time to be restored" to allow us to file an appeal to the Utah Court of Appeals.  We did this because our filing for an Emergency Motion to Set Aside Verdict and Stay Time for Appeal on Jan 4, 2024 (one year ago) was ignored but finally ruled on January of this year 2025.  The court had blocked Barbara & I from filing papers because we were declared "vexatious litigants" by a clever and vindictive prosecutor when we documented his lying about providing us the original warrant and discovery, using his own words from the transcript.  It appears he was embarrassed and cleverly manipulated the rules and his long relationship of prosecuting before this judge, to deny us due process of law.  However, we have another way we can pursue this Utah state appeal and plan to do so immediately.    So, it was Bad NEWS.  Then...

Wednesday May 21, was the one year anniversary of my first day of trial in the Federal District Court (Salt Lake), where I, a legal novice, had defended myself for eight days all alone, against four Prosecutors in front of a 12 man jury.  Normally, in this situation, I've been told by many that all counts are found GUILTY within just a couple of hours.

When I had written back in December that "a small Miracle appears to be in the works" it was because that was when we made the FIRST attempt.  But they kept sending it back claiming we had mistakes and that we couldn't file it the way we wanted, but it wasn't true, as we were following their rules exactly.  It appeared as if the IRS / DOJ didn't want us to file the kind of application for writ a certain unique way we wanted to, because it would be super effective, and we could win.  So, finally, they couldn't block us in the end.

Getting to SCOTUS to challenge the validity of the IRS's false interpretation of federal income tax law, -- has always been our goal since this nightmare began January of 2018.  We've gone through 18 court cases to get to this point. Very few cases get heard by SCOTUS.  There's no guarantee they'll hear my case.  But, you can't win a landmark case at the Supreme Court unless the 9 Justices hear your case.  They won't hear your case if it's not first on the docket for their consideration. You can't win at SCOTUS unless you file.   And, we had to lose every one of the 18 cases to be able to get to the Supreme Court.   Now, it will take a small Miracle for the Justices to be willing to Hear the false and fraudulent application of "the tax law" and TEST it.  Well, here we are!  Congratulations to ALL of We the People, -- not just "Barbie & Ken vs. Goliath IRS".  So your prayers are more important now than ever please?!

Remember, please don't pray that Barbara and I are freed from this tyranny, but rather that we fulfill what we've always felt was our "assignment" to get to this point.  This is the good Lord's battle, not ours.  We don't want to get 98% through the terrorism we've suffered, and get out before completing the assignment.  We feel so inadequate.  We're not smart enough, or rich enough, nor fast enough to do this thing, but:

Well we certainly qualify as "foolish", and "weak", and simple.  This could end quickly with victory.  Or, it could require multiple attempts at SCOTUS from different angles before our assignment is completed.  But, Barbara & I are determined to go 100% for Him, humbly remembering we're just willing pawns, who trust Him, however this plays out.  We understand that it's the Lord who wants to "set His people free, that they may serve me", (Exodus 10:3) as we anticipate the Second Coming of His Son Jesus Christ, who will rule and reign over a liberated world for the 1,000 years of Millennial peace and glory.
